As reported at the blog "El Aderezo" and confirmed by the data from the Ministry of Agriculture gathered by the Spanish Wine Market Observatory, Spain heads the world's list of wine producing countries.
Up to 2013 and despite having a lesser vineyard total extension, their higher capacity made France and Italy battle for the exclusive top position of the world's wine producers ranking.
An important investment in infrastructure, which necessarily led to the vineyard's renovation and modernization, along with more favoring weather conditions than its competitors, contributed to Spain's rising to the top rankings in the wine industry.
Aforementioned aspects along with the grape's high quality, invite producers to believe this season will be more rewarding from a financial point of view. This is however not due to a raise in the wine's price -which shall remain unchanged, but to a higher income derived from the increase in the production.
