The main wine's features are gathered on the bottle's label: brand, bottling register, alcohol proof, contained volume, winery and its location, certificate of origin, health and export registrations, harvest year, etc.
According to several studies about consumption of wine, labels can have an over 50% influence on the purchase decision. That means, its design, color and shape have become more relevant for both vineyards and wine's fans. However, it is crucial that the image described on the label fits with the bottle's contents.
The back-label, the official stamp of the Certificate of Origin Council where the vineyard belongs to and its origin's warranty are placed on the bottle's rear. Furthermore information on the wine's aging in the barrels (Crianza Wine, Reserve Wine and Grand Reserve wines) and the harvest date is displayed.
And finally at the top part the so-called capsule. It covers the bottle's neck and guarantees the bottle has not been uncorked before. The cap is in 95% of the cases made of cork, although nowadays synthetic ones are also in use as well.
