Spring is considered to be the season when love flourishes. However as far as vineyards are concerned both melancholy and sadness seem to take control of this season, since it is now when one of the most remarkable events take place: the grapes' weeping.
That is the first sign of the start of their vegetative cycle. During this period -which extends within three weeks, the trims made on the vineyard emanate a colorless liquid, imitating a person's weep.
For instance, a young vineyard might generate up to 5 liters of water, drop by drop. As the vineyards "cry", fields remind us that time goes by and the moment to start the production for a new collection has begun.
During the next days, we will explain the vineyard's evolution after its "weeping" and key moments which take place across its vegetative cycle due to time passing, climate changes, different seasons, etc.
